"Life is a balance of holding on and letting go."

~ Rumi

Grief is the conflicting feelings caused by the end of or change in a familiar pattern of behavior.

It can be the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship or any other significant loss. One thing is certain – it is not a straight line.

I am a Life Coach specializing in grief and loss.

The grief that comes with any number of emotional losses can feel overwhelming and isolating. At these times we may find that those people we normally turn to for emotional support are at a loss when it comes to giving us effective and meaningful assistance. They wish they could but have never learned how.  They often provide us with logical reasons why we shouldn’t feel bad, but that rarely helps. I am here to walk alongside you and guide you toward healing.

Grief is emotional, not logical. Better said, it is due to a broken heart, not a broken head.

My promise to you

Your tears don’t scare me.  I won’t try to take them away by telling how strong you are or need to be.  I will meet you where you are and listen, not fix (you’re not broken!). I will walk alongside you and support you in designing your new path.  I will help you shine a light on your gifts and strengths that maybe you have tucked away or forgotten you have.  I will be open to looking at life’s unexpected events and curveballs with tears and humor or any emotion that may arise.  I will be authentic, honest, caring, and most of all, nonjudgemental.

What I ask from you

Honesty, trust, commitment, and to just show up for yourself and our partnership – even when you might not feel like you have the energy and/or courage.

“Although none of us wants to be on a journey of grief I have to say that I am grateful that there exists a Grief Recovery program and that there are people like Paula Pellegrino! I couldn’t have asked for a better person to help guide me through this very hard season. Paula is heart and compassion and encouragement personified. She was always encouraging, always available, and I always felt safe and at ease in her presence while trying to process my grief and all the emotions that come with it. Paula brought humanity and compassion to every session we had together. She truly desires for people to heal. This organization is very lucky to have her and I know she will continue to help others just like she has helped me.”
